Sanrie is passionate about professional development and training the future teachers of South Africa to ensure quality education delivered to ALL South African children. She joined the Acorn Education team in March 2020 to launch the brand new Teacher Internship Programme.
Sanrie previously taught Grade 10 to 12, including Dramatic Arts, Consumer Studies and Afrikaans. She served as National Senior Certificate marker for Dramatic Arts and formed part of the Creative Arts CAPS training team. She also worked as a Brand Manager, where her focus was on branding, marketing and personnel development. Along with her Post Graduate qualification in Education, she obtained an honours in B.Com Industrial and Organisational Psychology at UNISA. Her goal is to invest in future teachers in order to ignite the flame and passion for quality teaching, specifically within the no-fee school context.
She is a firm believer in investing time, money and energy in those things we have control over; rather than focusing on the things we don’t. This too is then the driving force behind her focus and goals as Teacher Internship Programme Manager.
