Anco has over 15 years’ experience in management consulting for public sector, non-profits and corporate clients. It was while conducting an in depth efficiency study on an alternative school education model for an international NPO that she became passionate about driving sustainable change in the education sector. Anco was working with the Collaboration Schools Pilot Support Office before joining a School Operating Partner as a Project Manager. In June 2016, she founded Acorn Education as a new School Operating Partner in the Collaboration Schools Pilot Programme.
Previously Anco was a Senior Manager at EY Advisory Services in Cape Town where she managed various performance improvement projects for predominantly national and provincial public sector clients across a variety of services including turnaround strategy, change management, supply chain optimisation, business process optimisation, due diligence, feasibility studies and project management.
Anco spent nearly a decade abroad in senior positions within the management and strategy consulting sector, managing large-scale projects in the UK, Central and Eastern Europe and the Middle East).
Anco has a B.Soc Sc (Hons) Psychology from the University of Free State and M.Phil in Social Sciences Research Methodology and Project Management from the University of Stellenbosch
