Ross HillHead of Education

Ross grew up in Cape Town and became acutely aware of the inequality in education during the transition from Apartheid. Since then he has spent over a decade as an educator dedicated to closing this inequality. Ross started his career by  lecturing at an Engineering bridging program in Khayelitsha, before he started teaching in schools. Ross was the founding School Principal for both a High School in Diepsloot and for a Primary School in Randburg.

He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in improving the quality of teaching and learning, school culture and school leadership to Acorn Education.

He has co-authored four school textbooks for Pearson Education. He attended the renowned KIPP School Leadership fellowship in the United States on a scholarship awarded by the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation. Many of the best practices, knowledge and skills, specifically in Instructional Leadership, hail from the research he conducted during his time in the USA. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in improving the quality of teaching and learning, school culture and school leadership to Acorn Education.

Ross obtained a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education from the University of Cape Town.
